Hi there!

Okay, so who am I? I’m Christine and I take on a bunch of different roles. I am a second generation Chinese-Vietnamese American, first generation college graduate, a medical social worker, a therapist, a ceramicist, a pug mother to Subi, a certified yoga instructor, an amateur improv comedian, a world traveler, and a lover of learning new things to create and share with anyone who is interested.

I’ve worked with individuals and families of all ages, from adolescents to older adults who are 105 years old. I have my background in working as a hospice and home health medical social worker where I provide grief counseling to the terminally ill and their family members.

I received my Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and minor in Education from the University of California, Los Angeles. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California, and gained my clinical experience working in counseling for domestic violence survivors and for hospice programs.

Let me just say that I’m not perfect, and I don’t expect anyone else to be perfect. My motto in life is, “Finished, not perfect,” where I apply this towards my creative outlets like ceramics, yoga, or other arts. My other motto in life is to “Start before you’re ready.” This is because I believe that although it can be very difficulty to start, the compounding effects of starting before you are ready can benefit you in the long term (much like therapy!).  Therapists see therapists too. I’ve experienced first hand how powerful therapy can be. I do my own inner work, so that I can help my clients with theirs. Allow me to be there to support you through your own journey of healing and self-awareness. 

Other things about me are that I am introverted and introspective. I love my alone time to self-reflect and to do my creative hobbies. I am vocal about my beliefs. I am an LGBTQI ally, supporter for Black Lives Matter, and an all around supporter for human rights. I am committed to ongoing learning and the continuing of my education.
